A Showcase for women in art and business

As a young woman with a passion for incorporating art into every aspect of life, I wanted to involve myself in a community of women who shared a similar vision. I felt as though there was not a platform for what I was looking for and therefore decided to put this idea into action. The goal is to create an environment where women can come together to showcase their passions and talents. Thus spawning a hub of ambitious individuals who can support each other in their endeavours, while also giving back to community and the world. The platform is an event-based model run bi-annually, once in the year the proceeds go to benefit a local charity, and the other to benefit an international charity. The events are aimed to be run in women-owned/run business, to drive traffic to their establishment. A snapshot of a More Than Beautiful event would include a couple speeches from myself to inform all participants and patrons a little bit about our goals and the cause that we are supporting at that time. Followed by live performances in music, dance, poetry and many other art forms, by some of the amazing women in our community, whether established, growing or first-time performers. We aim to create a welcoming space, harmonious with the location it takes place in, in order for the business to be run as it normally would. So far we have raised hundreds of dollars that have been donated to charities within the community and around the world. We cannot wait for the future and would love to have your support!
